Rundown 003: The Vessel was released on June 11th, 2020 at 11 AM UTC // 1 PM CEST.
Summary[]
The goal of Rundown 3 was to process the Neonate HSU, the titular 'vessel', which was retrieved in Rundown 2 from the 'crib' (a centralized and highly protected area filled with Neonate HSUs). The first step was to take it to the Neurogenic Cardiac Resuscitationer in A1, and using that to bring the HSU back online. The next step was found in layer B of this sector, but the power was out (which would have complicated matters somewhat), meaning that the prisoners needed to reactivate the reactor, which was conveniently located in Layer A. But, as the reactor was full of infectious fog, the prisoners first needed to power up a generator cluster in A2 to turn on the centralized air purification system. Now that the infection was clear, they could make their way to A3 to restart the reactor - bringing power back to layer B. In B1, multiple uplinks were created to retrieve the protocols for neural imprinting (used later). In B2, the prisoners depressurized the neonate, opening it up for the neural imprinting procedure retrieved in B1, and also had their first encounter with a Mother. However, the warden's sample of the DNA that was going to be imprinted was actually corrupted, so the prisoners were sent back down to re-retrieve this DNA from the source in C1. Finally, the neonate was imprinted with the protocol from B1 and DNA from C1, allowing it to be connected to the Neural Frame. The prisoners were sent to connect the imprinted neonate to the Neural Frame in D1 (where it presumably remains to this day), before fighting a Big Mother, and finally escaping to Sector 4.
