Reactor Shutdown is an objective where players must locate a reactor and shut it down. The objective is quite similar to the Reactor Startup objective.
Description[]
Reactor Shutdown expeditions often begin with well-illuminated zones. Players must navigate toward the reactor, dispatching sleepers and collecting resources to be used in the latter defence.
The REACTOR_SHUTDOWN command can be used on a dedicated terminal in the reactor zone to begin the shutdown operation. The REACTOR_SHUTDOWN will initiate a bioscan and severs power across the expedition. The shutdown process will prompt the player to enter a verification word with the REACTOR_VERIFY command, i.e.:
REACTOR_VERIFY CELL
Doing so will trigger a Reactor Security System Malfunction and starts an alarm. Often, this alarm will spawn Shadow sleepers and continue to do so until extraction. Players are required to complete a number of large bioscans to finish the shutdown process.
Once completed, players must proceed towards the expedition's starting point for extraction.
