A powerful sidearm that fills the special weapon slot. It was initially released alongside GTFO and is a non-rundown specific weapon.

Description[ | ]

The Mastaba R66 is a 6-shot revolver possessing high damage and scoped-accuracy with moderate recoil. Its scoped accuracy and ability to one-shot-headshot Strikers and Shooters at any range rewards precise shots. The R66's decently high body-shot damage, high rate-of-fire, fast reload, and overall high ammo-efficiency has it perform the best against small to medium variants of sleepers as a crowd-clearer. It also has the ability to one-shot Scouts if the occiput is hit. It also possesses the short range flashlight. In dark environments, the flashlight becomes a liability as it requires you to be close-range towards sleepers to use the flashlight with the R66 Revolver.

The revolver's lack of burst damage, however, has it suffer against encounters with larger sleeper variants, making those encounters a resource dump if shots are not landed perfectly. Its low hip-fire accuracy and high recoil can make chamber-dumps a waste of ammo if not barrel-stuffing larger variants.

Tips[ | ]

  • Always aim for headshots or the back.
  • Focus on Strikers and Shooters and let your teammates focus on the larger enemies and Chargers.
  • You can cancel the reload animation by swapping to your other weapon when the character finishes inserting the speedloader.
  • Although it would require multiple boosters, using at least 41% Special Damage allows the Revolver to one-shot Strikers to the body.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Was one of the first weapons leaked prior to GTFO's initial release.
  • Its name is likely a combination of the manufacturers "Mateba" (Famed for creating the distinctive Mateba Autorevolver) and Zastava.
