The Long Range Flashlight is a consumable item found in resource containers. It functions as a more powerful flashlight providing superior illumination of dark areas with longer range and has infinite battery life.
Usage[ | ]
Its range and power is superior to the standard Flashlight, which helps if you're searching in an area that is pitch black.
It is useful for stealth kills as a quick flash can trigger the heightened alert state of more enemies at once, synchronizing them to make an opening to dispatch other nearby sleepers.
It does not help in thick fog, as it makes the fog glow more intensely, and any silhouettes of the room you might have seen without the flashlight are much harder to see.
One drawback is that it can very easily alert enemies.
The flashlight also proves effective when found in rooms filled with Spitters.
